Baskets-n-beyond had been selling gift baskets in their store and online since 1993 but selling online consisted of displaying their products on their website and then having someone call to order them.
Convinced that setting up an automated way to allow customers to order online without setting up an entirely new online shopping cart system like a Yahoo! Store or a Pro Store was a great way to grow their business, Samson Media decided to start slowly by building one ecommerce page using PayPal to accept online payments.
The other half of the equation was to fully search engine optimize each product page and also put a data capture strategy in place so they could begin marketing to prospects and customers who visited the site.
We used an online coupon of 10% off any order as an enticement to get people to opt-in to future newsletter campaigns.
