NEWS RELEASE – For Immediate Release April 4, 2008
CAPTION: Newly installed officers of the Premier BNI Chapter are, from left to right: Gene Sower, Samson Media, President; Cathy Paissides, Bogle Agency Insurance, Secretary/Treasurer; and Ralph Trujillo, Speed Pro Imaging, Vice President.
Gene R. Sower, owner of Samson Media, LLC, of Montclair, NJ, has been named president of the Premier chapter of BNI as of April 1. Sower, a resident of Montclair, has been a member of the business referral organization since 2006 and most recently served as a member of the membership committee.
This BNI chapter has 21 members and meets every Wednesday at the Candlewyck Diner in East Rutherford, from 7:00 to 8:30 A.M.
“To get ahead as a business owner,” explains Sower, “active membership in business networking groups is crucial. Besides networking, BNI offers the added components of business profession exclusivity and mandatory referrals or lead exchange between its members, which has proved very beneficial to me. In an effort to give back to the organization, I am honored to serve as the new BNI chapter president and look forward to a very productive year.”
“Because BNI members meet weekly, they get to know each other quite well and are eager to help each other’s business grow,” explains Larry Koller, BNI assistant director. “Having Gene Sower lead the Premier chapter will be an asset to all its members because he understands the value of networking and referrals and will strive to make the chapter even better than it is already.”
With a solid multimedia marketing background, including radio and television writing, direction, and production, Sower established Samson Media in December 2006, where he put his focus on the worldwide Web and Internet marketing. Until recently, he owned and operated a successful e-commerce Web site (www.lucythewonderdog.com), which he created in 1996 to cater to the needs of upscale dog and cat owners. In conjunction with the site, Sower published a weekly e-mail newsletter that was distributed to over 12,000 opt-in subscribers. He has an extensive knowledge of pay-per-click marketing, search engine optimization techniques, and general online traffic-building and community-building techniques, which are services Samson Media now provides to its clients.
